Marble is sealed during manufacture and installation. For polished finishes, regular applications of a good silicone wax, buffed with a soft cloth will provide additional protection. We also recommend professional resealing every two years for best long-term protection.
Use clean lukewarm or hot water and wipe dry with a soft cloth. Twice a year, wash with a mild detergent solution (non-abrasive neutral pH7 dishwashing detergent and warm water), rinse and wipe dry.
Marble is relativity soft and porous. Avoid hitting with anything blunt or heavy as this can cause chips and cracks. Avoid sitting, standing or placing heavy items on unsupported areas.
Marble is prone to scratching and everyday household abrasives and utensils will mark. We recommend the use of a chopping board. Felt bases and placemats are also advisable.
Preventing heat damage
Heat will scorch marble. We recommend using a heat pad or a trivet with rubber feet.
Food or beverage acids will etch the surface so avoid direct contact with the marble. Wipe up spills immediately.

Workmanship is warranted for two years from the date of installation to the original purchaser.
This warranty does not include damage incurred after installation including;
Damage resulting from physical or thermal (temperature related) shock including house settlement or movement, excessive weight or heat being placed on stone surface.
Chipping as the result of an impact.
Any defect in, or damage to, stone surfaces which results from not being cleaned or cared for in accordance to Care & Maintenance guide.
Stone surfaces that have been moved from original place of installation.
Stone surfaces which have been modified after original install.
Natural patina as it 'wears in'.
Artisan Stone provides a ‘Care Kit’ upon completion of every install.
